Title: PA-1 & NW2 Sound System Volume
Post by: fcihlar on December 26, 2009, 12:08:32 PM
Hello:

One of my children recieved a PA-1 diesel set for xmas this year with the True Blast II sound system.  We have several Williams
locomotives.  The PA-1's volume is very low relative to all the others, and one can barely hear the horn and bell when the engine is running.

Is the low volume of the sound system by design, or is there something else that could be wrong?  One of my other children recieved an NW-2 and it took multiple (20-30) horn and bell activations before the volume sounded "normal."  After working for a while it too has a very low volume.

Thanks,
fcihlar

There are several threads about this on the OGR forum.

Questions about sound level control on Williams engines gets asked very often.  However, I have never seen an official answer by Bachmann.  I don't know why they don't answer.
