It most likely has all cars equipped with the old rapido couplers. The engine will run okay, but not great. Be sure to clean the track and loco before use, and you may need to lube the engine.

Are you looking for a price to see if it is collectable? You may try posting to the N scale forum. most sets like this don't have a lot of value other then a good deal found at a garage sale.

Others maybe able to give you a more exact value.

not really a price just curious what year this was made
here are some model numbers
chemical tank car 6100-6107
cattle car 6150-6157
3 dome tank car 6210-6217
these were a couple of the items in white jewel cases
the other box is unopened

Probably not that old if they are in the jewel cases.

I wasn't aware of Bachmann rolling stock being in Jewel cases in the Mid 1970's. I know other manufacturers had it, but not Bachmann.

Hi woodywood143,

Turn the loco over, and look at the bottom of the fuel tank.
Is it embossed with "Bachmann Hong Kong"or "Bachmann China"?

If the loco was in the white cardboard box, you're looking at 1987-2001.

Here's the information you maybe looking for;

Spookshow's site is a great resource for n scale.

Click on "N Scale Locomotive Encyclopedia".

Good Luck, and have fun with that jeep!
