I have recieved my first side rod gas loco and the bell comes loose. Where do I mount it on this loco?

You can mount it under the frame or anywhere on the superstructure. There was no standard on small locos like these.

The bells all come loose on my Bachmann locos.
That's because they are the first things I remove.
They are closely followed by the "air hoses" on the knuckle couplers.
