Title: Will the color on the Bachman RTR HO FT-A Santa Fe Freight be corrected?
Post by: klunker on February 03, 2010, 03:27:49 PM
Are there any plans in the future to correct the blue color on this particular unit? The yellow color is fine but the blue is nearly turquoise as opposed to a much darker blue on the real Santa Fe freight FT-A's. A simple internet check will reveal the color discrepancy.

It's a shame because it's an excellent addition to the FT-A selections Bachmann has to offer.

You could always correct yourself if you are unhappy.

For those with that degree of skill, correction is an option. However the Bachmann paint jobs are very nice and this unit in the right color of blue would be a real showstopper for them.

Thanks for the info. That changes things. Although you'd think they'd fix the picture because I passed on the loco because of that, and others probably did too. The Bachmann FT-A series is great and it's good to know they did get it right.

Quick question for the Bach man

Is the turquoise blue color on the RTR HO FT-A Santa Fe/Freight w/DCC incorrect in the online catalog? Posters say their purchased units are the correct dark blue color. If so, I'll order. If not, will it be corrected in the future?

Love my EZ track system and my locos. Great product.

Dear Klunker,
The units look very good to me. Since all computers arfe different, I'd suggest looking at the units at your local hobby shop or a show.
Have fun!

Check some Online stores, I found these.

It looks like the bachmann image below was "tweaked to bring out more detail in the trucks and the blue suffered as a result.

Narrow minded

Thank you thank you thank you. I will now be ordering one of these. I did look online but you apparently had better luck than I did at finding a photo of the real one. Anyway it's nice to know someone understood what I was trying to say about the online catalog image. Thanks again.
