Title: The George Washington
Post by: Jimbodna on May 07, 2007, 06:21:46 PM

Has Bachmann discontinued making the Chesapeake and Ohio's "The George Washington" HO gauge train set?  If so, how long has it been 'manufactured discontinued?'

Dear Jim,
The George Washington set was announced as a limited run, and was made only once. There are fewer than 1000 in circulation, so get one if you can. It's a great set!
Have fun!

I can't remember what I paid for mine, but it's nice.  And yes, a Bachmann F-19 Pacific with 16V tender would be nice to have, too.  I could see the George taking the VT&P cut-off and changing engines at Leesboro before continuing west!
