Title: The Ship Sank
Post by: TERRYINTEXAS on March 11, 2010, 09:25:48 AM
That's the only reason i can come up with as to
why the C&O H-4's aren't here yet
::)
Wonder why Bachmann doesn't issue a statement
Since they were supposed to be here last year ?

As I predicted, they got here right on time - when they got here.

All the lamenting on various forums niether slowed them down nor sped them up.

Interesting to see MB Klein is charging the same for DCC on board and for DCC and sound on board.  One might as well buy the sound version, even if you end up running it with the sound turned off.

Is this the wave of the future?

I suspect that the DCC only price is a typo - A number of other dealers have them for much less.

Anyone running DC and not interested in sound will want the DCC only version so as to easily remove the decoder and install the jumpers.

Dual mode decoders do not always run so great on DC, depending on the decoder and the type of DC throttle.

Very nice looking GN.2-6-8-0
Now you'll have to write a review
for all of us !

I ordered one from Peach Creek as they also carry
the tenders seperate
and am hopping the tender has speaker holes in the frame
but wondering where to get the loco side wires and plugs
to match the ones on the tender

When I was at Peach Creek last Saturday they had several cartons of H-4's piled up on the floor, so they should be shipping orders out this week.

But still trying to find the Loco wiring harness that matches the extra Tenders i bought
Bachman doesn't list them as parts on this site

You have to call the parts and service dept. and ask them about a price.

Write them a letter and send it the good old fashioned way. I have always gotten good service from the parts department in that way.

Klien's has corrected their price on the non sound version - but only has one of road numbers in stock - very strange.

And, I must say these are the lowest Bachmann prices I have ever seen from Klien's.

I already got a C&O one at Peach creak Shops, if I get more they will be non sound and unlettered which Klien's is not listing - guess Peach Creek or Star Hobby wins again since they have the better selection and are only $20 more.

Micro Mark is only selling DCC/sound - I don't want either - I buy the DCC versions and remove the decoders.
