is there available the wiring harness fm engine to tender w/connector for wiring in
dcc so that when dcc is installed, the tender can be disconnected. either 8 or 9 pin

All Bachmann Ho DCC steam engines have two separate wiring connectors going from the loco to the tender with the exception of the 0-6-0 w/ tender and 0-6-0T since it doesn't have a tender. The tender houses an 8-pin plug for an easy DCC install, so all you do is pop in a decoder then attach the two plugs from the tender to the underside of the loco.
The Spectrum 44 ton and 70 ton diesels do not have 8 pin connectors. Just solder tabs like the steam switchers mentioned.

The Specialty one is quite new and selling well from what I have heard in a DCC forum.
