Bach Man I need your help. My new sound equipped Forney will not move in DCC or DC. The sounds work great and sound wonderful but the loco refuses to move. It arrived in perfect condition from Micro Mark.
Any suggestions?

While you are waiting on the Bach-man
Reset the decoder’s CVs by programming CV 8 with a value of 8.
After reset, locomotive still will not move
Then
1) Properly ground yourself, unplug the decoder and reseat it.
2) While you have the shell off --- Check all wires to see if any are not connected.
3) Repeat the programming of CV 8 with a value of 8.
Still have the issue… call Bachmann Service Dept.

Did you check that the valve gear and rods are not bound up ? I received mine and it did the same. Ran it in reverse and it moved. Found the linkage was bent in shipping.

Yes I did check out all the running gear and what play there is in the driveline, its free. Like my Jeep I did not want to mess with the internals as warranties are good to have. I sent her in to the doctor in Philly and we will see what comes of it. I know Bachmann will take good care of her.
Well I got my replacement Forney in the mail the other day and boy is she sweet !! Works like a charm and I love it. Thank you Bachmann Service !
