Title: Year of Manufacture
Post by: TS-ESRR on July 05, 2010, 12:20:57 PM
Hi,
I have a 6067 Santa Fe diesel locomotive Bachmann HO Silver Lightning train set.
The cars have truck mounted horn hook couplers. The set has 6 frieght cars and
snap track, signs, telephone poles, and people (unpainted).
I think the engine is supposed to be a GP-40. The track is enough to make a 74
inch by 38 inch oval.
Can anyone tell me when the set was manufactured?

It was likely made in the 70's or early 80's. This set is worth about $10 max, but it can still have sentimental value.

Thanks.
I am only interested in the date of manafacrure, not any value. It would need a lot of work to bring ot up to todays standard of body mounted knuckle couplers.
I am not sure what to do with it. Maybe I can find someone just starting out that does not care about all that, just wants a train to run.
