Title: DCCing MAVIS and TOBY
Post by: FrankS on December 04, 2010, 12:41:25 AM
Hi,
Is there any difficulty in fitting a basic decoder to the HO MAVIS & TOBY ???? I don't suppose they are "DCC Ready" but are there any issues with having to insulate the motor ??
Thanx

i converted my thomas and percy and i had no problem. the wires are color coded so it's just matching them up.

your best bet is to use the TCS T1 decoder for price and size. In some of the larger engines I use the MRC sound decoders and put it in the tender with the speaker

good luck
