Title: Newbie definitely needs help from the pros!

Okay i sdmit trying to get started and need help ::) can some one tell me how many  pieces of traclk and how many of each straight, curved, ect i need to build a simple dogbone layout running  around the perimeter?? Ive been loking  cant find any info anywhere, unless not smart enough to know what looking at!! Thanks in advance!!

you need to supply more info such as table size, what locomotives and cars you will be running, and most importantly, what scale you are working with...... some locomotives require wider curves than others, and larger scales require more space.....

See told you im newbie!! I am using a 4x8 sheet of plywood. train is ho scale and track bachman chattanooga steam locomotive with coal tender and 3 cars, grandson and i got for x-mas!! :)

16 pieces 22" radius track and 4 sections 12" straight track should work okay if you put plexiglass around the outside to keep the loco from falling to the ground. OR if you choose not to go that route. use 12 sections of 18" radius. Turnouts can be added as desired later.

Sorry another typographical error, meant 9", some how when I was typing 12 for the number of sections it inserted there, I originally typed 9".

HI: its okay acy im blind in left eye and right is cockeyed like  mule  i had once, ;D i have to have a 24 inch monitor for pc, got a degree in electronics, and comuter engineering specialty is big  mainframes, good thing im retired, cause id hate to have to see to work on cuircuits any more, but have learned to use spell checker ::) ;D
