 Since I'm starting my very first layout ever, I would like to know if bachmann dc trains work with bachmann's ez command ???

Technically you can run one DC loco with the E-Z Command, but it is a bad idea because if you forget about it and leave it on live track on a siding it will ruin the loco by causing it to overheat/melt and other bad things... Basically for any DCC system (this is not limited to Bachmann), most do not even allow you to run DC locos and even for those that do have that feature, it is best to avoid running them with the DCC system unitl you convert the locos to DCC to avoid possible damage due to leaving it on live track or running for a really long time.

if your DC tains are in good shap you can change then to DCC by adding a decoder i have done this and they run good.
