Title: ´72 Williams Streamliners - wheelset diameter and axle width ?
Post by: Tomcat on January 16, 2011, 04:11:25 AM
Hi there folks,

would please someone so kind and check the wheel diameters and the axle width for me on a ´72 Williams Streamliner (wouldn´t care which type, they should all have the same data) ?

The reason I´m asking is, that I just bought a set, but as I´m running 2-Rail trains, I´will need to convert them to 2-Rail axles. To order them, I would need the dimensions... Don´t have them here, but as they need to cross the Atlantic first, I would really appreciate your help, folks!

Thank you so much.
Kind regards, Tom ;) ;) ;)

Have you contacted the parts department at Bachmann trains?
Also you could try using Atlas wheel sets, as they make two rails wheelsets or they used to make two rail sets and both two & three rail conversion kits.
The important thing about two rail wheelsets is that they need to be insulated from each other to prevent a short.
