Title: color for old concrete bridge supports
Post by: rookie on February 04, 2011, 09:14:16 PM
Hey guys! I am putting in a fairly long span bridge with concrete abutments. What colors have you used for old weathered concrete? I cut all the bridge and supports out of wood so that is what i will be painting. Is there a specific color i can buy or is there something i can mix? Thanks ahead of time for any advice....David

I always start with new concrete.  I mix together some country tan (apple barrell) and some white.  Makes it appear to be less than six months old.  Then I dry brush some grays, for age.  You can also dry brush some regular brown, kinda streaky like.  This is the rust coming from above, and draining onto the concrete from the rain.
