Title: Waterproof Thomas?
Post by: Percythesmallengine on February 22, 2011, 10:09:46 PM
My 9 year old son would like me to ask if the Bachmann large scale Thomas is waterproof? If so, is it safe to use it in the snow?  Thank you!

I have been told it is ok. I would run it after the track has been cleared, but he can also plow the track with his new snowplow. I would suggest running a bigger engine after you cleared to the track, and then run Thomas. The new Bachmann trains do well in the snow. I don't own it so I can't tell you from personal experiences, but I know what others have said and they approve! I would use him in snow over rain. Rain is not a model engine's best friend. This may surprise you, but someone said the HO engines can run in the snow.
