I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to put a longer trailing truck on a "J". The truck that is currently on the loco looks a bit shrt to me!
I tried a 773 hudson truck just for fun but it was too long and didn't fit right. If you look at pictures of the real J's it's not all that far off. There were more appliances in the rear end that would have filled most of that gap up, the Williams J doesn't model those appliances so it looks more noticeable.
