Title: HO Salty by TopKazFatt!
Post by: Jock The New Engine on June 28, 2007, 08:10:32 AM
I just found this out yesterday!  Topkazfatt from the Sodor Orient Railway in Japan made his own HO Salty!  Check it out in this video link below! ;D

  >>>     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9gtm2C0kM0 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9gtm2C0kM0)     <<<

I think this is an excellent model!   ;D ;D ;D ;D

The chassis was taken from a Bachmann HO Weathered BR 04 Diesel Shunter!   :o :o :o :o

Another job well done by Topkazfatt!

Also check out HenryBlue's N scale Duke and Layout in progress below! ;D

Salty is based on the British Railwailways 07 class shunter that operated at the Southamton docks. Siver Fox models make a resin kit of the 07. They have a website and it can be ordered from them. The 07 is listed under trams/shunters.  (Google Silver Fox Models).

You will need to provide your own face!

There is  also a metal kit for the 07 made by Craftsman Models, but the resin kit is probably the easier approach.

Have fun if you attempt the project!

Thanks, I will!  I already have the face of the Wooden Salty taken off.  I just have to cut it and it will be ready to put on.  Also, thanks for the advice!  Cheers to Salty! ;D

Henryblue is from the UK just like me :) The place were you can get some desent power off diesel engines! (this is not a insult, its true british diesels have more power and most US ones) So that means lots of thrash and clag!

You people need to be more open and see some trains other than Thomas the Tank Engine...
Go out to the tracks and watch 120 car trains roll by at 50 miles per hour or if your in a Country/State with High Speed Passenger rail go and watch some Fast passenger trains go by in excess of 150 mph. I feel bad for those who only like Thomas and have never bothered to go and watch trains speed or meander past...

I feel so sorry for the sados :P    or i cant be botherd with them :P

British Diesels Rule the earth, I mean come on, The Class 37 are sexy in a strange way, and the class 66s and 67s, woah awesome

We hold the record and history, Sure, America has got the record for the fattest kettle, But England, Europe, We rule, German Power is absalutly wicked too

and another thing...

I DONT ONLY MODEL TTTE, I MODEL TRAINS FROM SCTRACH OF BRITISH AND GERMAN LOCOS        MY TRAIN INTERESTS ARNT SAD

oh and Im a lead singer for a band, Im auditioning for a comedy, Im an artist, I blow these fourms away, people here havent even heard of half of these things

That was not necessarily directed at you Adam...
I too was lead singer in a band, and I agree that British Power is amazing  although the class 66's were built by EMD in America, could be wrong but I thought it was the 66's...

Yeah that is true alex...

Anyway, why is the lead singer the most important in the band... ???

I know I'm not the most important (Drummer), but the lead singer usually gets credit.

And alex, Wasn't it an E-Band? like over the net?
(Well you said something along those lines)
Thats no way to do it.

I don't know. A band would go no where without soem1 keeping da-beat but singers, idk.  no it was most definately not an "e-Band"

You know, forgive me for butting in, but isn't the title to this thread about Salty?  If you have issues with someone, or just can't say something nice, please dont bring it here.  I'm sure some of us just want to talk of Thomas and not argue.  Thanks!   ;D

Silver Fox Models, get the Resin Body Kit for a class 07 shunter. Buy a bachmann class 04 shunter chassis too.
