Title: railroad software help
Post by: rrmchone on May 04, 2011, 11:49:29 AM
im looking for a computer program that can tell you exactly what train will be arriving to your town engine and everything but i am aware that most railroads like to keep things like that a secret but where i live the norfolk southern ocs train comes through every once in a while and i would like to know when it will be in town : )

you can often get some information like that through various groups dedicated to certain railroads. for example, i will often post heads up notices about interesting trains i see heading east from pittsburgh, on a group dedicated to the horseshoe curve area. another member of the same group often posts train sightings for the harrisburg area. that means people in the altoona area will have some idea what's heading their way.

which lines in particular were you looking for info on?
