I just purchased a new N-scale item# 82514 USRA 4-8-2 heavy mountain DCC on board.
It states that it is dcc and dc capable. I will be running it as dc and want to know if it is plug and play as dc?
The instruction sheet that came with it suggests it may need programmed for dc, but dose not explain how to go about this. Can you clarify this?

Just turn the speed dial and off you go, the decoder is dual mode and requires nothing to be done to run on DC.
