Title: Aristo-Craft 4-6-2 steam
Post by: kelecom on June 30, 2007, 09:42:13 PM
Aristo-Craft recomends minimum 6.5 ft radius for their Pacific Steam 4-6-2, have any of you run it on a 5 ft radius and did it work O.K.

I think this is a question better asked on the AristoCraft forum - http://www.aristocraft.com/vbulletinforums/index.php

One of the members of a group I model with has an Aristo-Craft 4-6-2 and runs it regularly on our portable layout.  It handles the 38, 44 and 52 inch radii just fine.  I suspect Aristo-Craft recommends a minimum of 6.5 ft diameter.  While small scale curves are usually specified as radius, large scale curves are usually specified as diameter.
