Title: Sacramento Train Show Announcement
Post by: jonathan on July 08, 2011, 01:18:48 PM
OK folks, this just over the wire.

I have seen an announcement and pre-production photograph of DCC on board B&O EM-1 (2-8-8-4).  Estimated list price at $399. Can this be true or did I just dream this?

Regards,

Jonathan

Jonathon:  I just saw this too via the MR page.  Better start saving your pennies!  I may have to break down and get one for future operation on the McKeesport club layout.  Also note that Bachmann is doing a Northeastern style caboose in both HO and N.  Not B&O, obviously, but still a good model for a lot of eastern railroads.

Hope no one saw me squeal with delight. ;D

Eternal thanks to Bachmann for taking a chance on us B&O fans!

We can be a cantankerous lot.  Comes from having to kitbash everything we model.

Gratefully,

Jonathan

that northeastern style caboose may not be b&o but it was western maryland standard as well as reading and cnj all of which b&o owned. and the wm cabooses were commonly seen in local service on the b&o after the chessie merger.

I assume the new 2-8-8-2 is a Spectrum locomotive?

What 2-8-8-2 ?
