Dear MS,
It's a Baldwin stock model similar to locos used in the US and abroad.
Have fun!

using "alder gulch" in this boards search facility will bring up many of the other posts on the prototype of this loco

The Bachmann Spectrum outside frame 2-8-0 is one of the nicest running model locomotives I have ever seen, in any scale or gauge. And by the way, according to their website yesterday, Micro-mark has one of the best sale prices on this loco I have ever seen. If you have ever considered getting one of these, now is the time!

I can definitely say this too. The 2-8-0 is to me the finest example of Bachmann´s craftmanship on the On30 AND Fn3 market. A chunky little engine that is, and I have based various converts into D&RGW engines following my pal Bill Iwan´s recommendations in the On30 annual...

Check them out on Flickr: D&RGW No. 360 and 361 (C-21) and D&RGW No.375 (C-25)

Enjoy!
