I am planning a very simple double oval loop. I am just building this layout to run trains with my 6 year old daughter. I am interested in the bachmann GE 44-tonner in U.S. Army colors. My idea is to run a tourist railroad on an abandoned Army base utilizing Army RR equipment. I like the 44-tonner but I am wondering if this DCC locomotive will run on a regular EC layout?
I don't want to go DCC on this layout. I want to keep it very simple.

Yes, the Bachmann decoders are dual mode. So the loco can run on either DC or DCC automatically.
