Title: validation of warranty

I have just purchased a Bachmann HO train set and wanted to register it. Anyone know if you can do that online? Or do you have to send in the postcard that comes with the set? Thanks for the help. Mike

SOP is to send in the card. No on line registration.

Send the card in by mail,make sure you know when you bought the set and when you sent the card.These are the first questions they ask if your loco needs repair.

if we fill out and send the card, they have the information ::).
why then do they require a copy of the original receipt to show proof of purchase ???.

People buy used items that Bachmann does not warranty. The warranty is for the person who purchased the item and is a limited warranty. Still if it's not in warranty the cost of $25 dollars plus shipping is not all that bad. I have a lot of warranty cards left over from used purchases that the original owner never sent in. That does not make it eligible for the warranty.
