Title: #44547 auto-reversing track set

I noticed the #44547 auto-reversing track set features two standard pieces of EZ track. How can they mix the two types of track. Can I use standard pieces of EZ track to extend my trolley set?

Dear Tom,
The regular straights go on the extremities to allow for cars to be pushed or pulled.

Does that mean, therefore, that the bumpers go on the outside of the regular sections of EZ track?
