I am starting a series, a year and a half from now, called Thomas and Friends: ReBorn! It is taking Thomas back to its roots, but with new age characters thrown in, and I want it to be a team effort. so I need:
- script writers are all taken
-The least number of voice actors possible. I will explain that later

Sir Topham Hatt
I need the least amount of actors to keep it simple. please audition for more than one character
then for one episode:

Rusty
I would like these characters to sound more or less like their CGI counterparts.
I hope this sounds good. It will be a long time in the pipeline.

Sure Caleb, are you able to write for narrow gauge engines? The reason I needed the scripts so soon is so I know what to buy.

i might be able to write a script and/or supply voices. does it matter if they're UK voices? i find them easier to do. i might be able supply the voices for Percy, Henry, Skarloey, Rheneas, Peter Sam, Dart, and if you want i can also do Toby and Edward.

I've tried it a few times with some of my friends from the HO scale board, got a total of 7 messages from 3 different people. But its been well over a year.

I would like all the script writers to get into contact to keep loose continuity whilst writing scripts, or making final edits. Caleb I think is writing a NG story, but I haven't heard from him in a while ??? Anyway, Continuity does not have to be perfect. Don't let it intrude on tge main plot, or characters used. BTW. Jett and JJ, are you willing to write another ep each? That would help!
Also, jettrainfan, may I know your first name? It would help aswell;)

Sorry, internet has been acting up. Haven't been on in a while, but you requested a NG story. I'm thinking something along the lines of Peter Sam running the line when one of his coupling-rod bolts pops off! The workmen search for it, but it can be found! So Rusty is called to push him back to the yard. Duncan teases Peter sam. The next few weeks, Duncan has to do Peter Sam's work as well as his own. The extra work combined with "rock and roll" causes him to burst a cylinder. When Duncan is taken back to the shed, the thin controller speaks sternly to him. Peter Sam has a chance to tease Duncan back, but he understands and instead makes Duncan feel better. What do you think? :)

Did you check the Talyllyn website? They provide a list of companies that make 009 kits. Other than that, the only thing that comes to mind is plasticard.

I have come up with some criterion for what the character voices will sound like, here it is.
All other speaking engines I want to sound like the UK VOICE ACTORS!
Murdoch: Northern accent, yorkshire accent ,
Donald and Douglas: Glaswegian accents.
Duncan: Irish accent
Rusty: west country accent.

PS: I might not need a sir Hayden (sir Handel) kit. Kits I do need tho arr Talyllyn (Skarloey). Edward-Thomas(Peter Sam; with geisl ejector), Dolgoch (Rheneas) , Douglas (Duncan) and Midlander (rusty) I might scratch build him tho, for CGI accuracy;)
And can someone tell me what chassis I need for them? I know where to find out, but I am kind of lazy :P
Skarloey, Duncan, and Peter Sam, you might want a Dapol 14xx chassis. Rheneas is a mystery to me. There really aren't any RTR locos with only 4 drivers and THAT long of a wheelbase. You could probably modify a Graham Farish 57xx chassis so that it only has 4 drivers.

But I might just have what the actor can do best! then again, Murdoch was built in crewe or swindon, so maybe a west country accent would be good for him, freeing up a northern accent for Duncan! Actually, Peter Sam is English. He was built in Stoke-in-Trent in 1920.
I know Peter Sam is English, but I want him to have a similar voice to the CGI series;)

It sure does! It even works on my 10 year old Mac! So it will definatly work with your MacBook pro!

It works on everything! And works fine on a slow computer!

Btw, you will also need to download GIMP. Which is like MS paint on steroids! Gimp is also free!
If I were you, I would start by building a simple asset like a truck or a barrel and making that REALLY detailed.
You can also find animation and render tuts floating around.

Out of curiosity what is the current status of this project? Will it be in full CGI because that would be very intersting to see, not that the models wouldn't I just have a feeling with what we have seen from you in the area of CGI modelling, your series would be something we definitely wouldn't want to miss. :)
This project is puttering along. Yes it will be full cgi. Not trainz but real CGI. I am still learning the software, I know almost enough by now, all I need to learn is about human modelling, face modelling for the engines and how to make sidrods turn. This project will be out next year. I anticipate biggish gaps between episodes. As I have decided not to go on a season basis. Sort of like BRWS! Bear in mind the CGI will not be mind-blowing. But pretty good for a kid doing it on his mums computer somewhere. Trust me.
