Title: Climax Problems
Post by: WTierce1 on May 22, 2012, 08:52:04 AM
I have a Sound Equipped 3 Truck Climax. The offset rod on the left side of the locomotive came loose on the screw and now I can't get the rod back where it belongs. The rod that would connect to the reverser is loose on that side. I could see a screw in that area that would hold the rod but I think the piece the screw runs though is broke. I think that is what caused the rod problem. Because of that happening over the time I have had it, (It never has ran smooth since I have had it) it has bent the small rod that runs to the piston. (http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k568/rt180forlife/2012-05-22_08-38-42_270.jpg) (http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k568/rt180forlife/2012-05-22_08-38-36_200.jpg) (http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k568/rt180forlife/2012-05-22_08-38-16_710.jpg)  I messed up the screw some trying to fix it, otherwise I have not messed with it. Will Bachmann still fix it? I hope they will because the Climax is the most expensive locomotive I have.

Yes, they will most likely send you a new loco instead of repairing yours. See the warranty section here.

This is the first problem I have heard of with this loco.
