Does everyone stay with the stock Bachmann couplers?
Will the Thomas rolling stock accept KD's or some other coupler to make them compatible with non Thomas rolling stock?
Or alternatively can the Bachmann couplers be fitted to other rolling stock?
Are un-couplers available for the Thomas rolling stock.
I am in the process of replacing the hook and loop couplers with Chain couplers. Not quite sure this helps, but It's what I'm doing.
I have been converting my Thomas stock to Kadees.

A bit uneven in this photo, but I was just testing to see how they would feel. I find Kadees more efficient than hook/loop and 3-link (chain). Much less fidget and mess, less bulky looking, and harder to notice on a moving train. I would love to see the Bachmann Thomas stock fitted with NEM slots in the future.
I've switched some of my thomas Locos & stock to screw link couplers.
