Title: Request For NJ Transit E60
Post by: Earle Baldwin on January 08, 2013, 08:52:05 PM
The retooled E60 is a very nice model. Please consider offering it decorated for NJ Transit as NJT purchased several E60s from Amtrak during the early 80s.

Here are the 958 and 967 in full NJT livery:

And the 961 and 973 in a "patched" scheme:

Please consider NJ Transit E60s for future production.

Thanks for reading,

While on the subject of electric traction, is there any news on rerunning the Virginian "bricks," also known as the New Haven-Penn Central E-33s?

Of course, I have to toss in a suggestion for one myself--the Virginian's original
Alco-Westinghouse EL-3s, the famous "squareheads."  Dating from the 1920s. Virginian used them in sets of three and as single units, and the N&W had them, too, running in pairs:

This is an electric steam fans would love--complete with rods on drivers that are about the same size as those used under the current Consolidation.  Any chance of this being considered?
