Title: Scale GG1 True Blast
Post by: Greenville yards on January 11, 2013, 10:22:43 PM
I was given a Williams by Bachmann O Scale Pennsylvania GG1 but it didn't have an instruction booklet inside the box. I recently tested it out on Atlas Nickel Silver track and it runs great. I am using an MTH Z1000 controller and would like to know how to activate the TrueBlast horn/bell.   What type of sound should I hear (bell or horn)?

Dear Greenville yards,

If your GG1 has a TBII (True Blast Two) sound board,

you should hear a horn if you press the horn/whistle button.

The pre-recorded road crossing pattern will play once, then stop by itself.

If you press and hold down the bell button for 3 seconds, the bell should start up and continue until you press the bell button again.

If the buttons work the opposite of their labels, swap (switch the polarity of) the wires going to the track.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Hi Joe,

Maybe Greenville Yards is having the common problem with the TrueBlast II. This was discussed quite a while ago about the potentiometer challenges.
Maybe you could link him to that discussion board.

                                 Thanks...671
