BoCo was a great diesel character who was introduced in season 2 of the show. He was in a few episodes of season 3. He was in season 4, never spoke there, but he did make cameos. The last time we ever saw BoCo was in season 5, Double Teething Troubles, which introduced another diesel engine who also never came back, Derek. Too bad BoCo left the show after that episode. It's like that Derek is a one-off character, like Splatter and Dodge. Derek would've been a great character to have on the show.
Derek did make a small cameo in a Calling All Engines music video. I would like a petition to make both BoCo and Derek to return to the show. HiT Entertainment took over, and ruined everything. They introduce countless amounts of new characters, and abandon the older ones. Some people say that Emily replaced Duck. Maybe it's because there were people who thought the show needed a major female character, so they'd stop thinking the show is sexist or something. How many new characters do they need to have?
The big question is, whatever happened to BoCo? Whatever happened to Derek? They're both obscure and abandoned. They must return. I don't want them to be forgotten like Duke! What also puzzles me is that they did bring back Diesel 10, but they never brought back Splodge. Daisy was in Calling All Engines, but she never spoke. Maybe they should bring her back as well.
It's also too bad that the show won't return to the old style. The classic episodes were creative and were not very childish compared to what we have now!
Yes! finally I find someone who isn't a big fan of the new animation. I would have been okay with the season 12 style of the actual models but animation faces but they changed everything. Honestly I don't thing Boco will be coming back sadly :'(

Surprisingly, there is a Tomy BoCo. Hopefully, Bachmann could make BoCo someday in the future.
I hope Bachmann wont model the characters from the new animation. I hope its from the old models. In my opinion it would look better

They must keep doing classic characters. They must be from seasons 2-7. I don't want characters from the new show, either.

Some are at Nitrogen Studios, where the CGI series was produced, others are on display at Drayton Manor in the U.K
They're now in museums, where they will never be used again.
I've been told by an ex-worker for the series that the ones that arent on display at Drayton Manor, Thomas Land Japan and Nitrogen are in storage, some in Canada some in the UK...

Nitrogen is in Canada, Drayton is in the U.K. I believe.

I was really hoping that all of the models should've been on display, after all, the model series is history, so it would've at least give nostalgia to some of us that grew up with the classics......
Thomas and Friends will never be the same again... How sad. :'(
However, after watching Hero of the Rails and Blue Mountain Mystery, the producers/directors from Nitrogen inserted easter eggs even for the people that grew up with the show to recognize, to know that they haven't been forgotten (like the use of the Steamworks as the RWS equivalent to Croven's Gate and Marklin engine seen at the Dieselworks). It was, in a way, something that I can enjoy as a 90's kid, while at the same time embrace the CGI series as a whole (and after seeing the trailer for KOTR, it sounds promising already).
It also goes to show that Bachmann decided to make Duck because the requests were so large, who wouldn't make the GWR for their 10th anniversary in the business?
Some people were disappointed that Oliver wasn't announced for this year.
I was very sad about not having Oliver, maybe next year!
Ok, so some people they MUST bring back or the show won't be the same. Duck, Oliver, Donald, Douglas, Stepney, Toad, BoCo and Daisy. We can all agree that they should all be brought back.
They should be brought back only if the writing has been improved (starting with King of the Railway/Season 17)!!! So in a way, I prefer to wait if the series has redeemed itself, with the help of Andrew Brenner that is ;)
Most characters where abandoned some before the CGI series Starting with Lady if I remember correctly that would be cool though if they brought her back in a CGI movie.
Hopefully Fergus will come back. His model was destroyed in Bill, Ben, and Fergus, and that is why he didn't make any more appearances in the model era, but now that it is cgi and Andrew Brenner is in charge, hopefully he has a chance!

he never returned after that episode because they messed up the model when they shot the "rock slide" scene.

True, maybe there's something that's going on that we don't know about ... THE PLOT THICKENS! LOL :)...
What does it mean on the wikia where it says he has a persistent cough?
Well think about it, he works at the 'dusty' cement works, which would be enough to give anyone (engine or people) coughing problems... It could also mean that he's old in age as well, but only a possibility...
On the plus side Derek is a good character on "Tales From the Other Railway" :)
