Title: dcc loco address
Post by: dhouck on March 16, 2013, 06:16:33 PM
I am relatively new to model trains and have purchased 2 "N" scale DCC loco's from Bachmann. How do I determine the address of each loco?

Welcome.
There is an N scale forum by the way.

Your DCC controller manual instructions should cover this. No idea what you have for a controller.
Some times it will be just a 3.
Maybe the loco number.

most decoders come from the factory preaddressed to 3. that is also the number they default to when a reset is done. the only exceptions I am aware of were certain atlas locomotives with factory decoders where the last 2 digits of the locomotive number was the address.

try 3 first, it'll probably work.
