Dear Mr. Bachmann:
TrainWorld has been sold out of the YELLOW 96202 hand car for some time.
Will there be another production run of the YELLOW hand car?
Could you have Barry, of Barry's Big Trains, design a new drive for the hand car so that customers will be happy.
The Gandy Dance hand car and the Trolley are two of the nicest products you produce and unfortunately both products have the worst drives.
It can`t be that difficult to design a drive which will last at a reasonable retail price point.
Even with the bad drive design, I still would like to buy a YELLOW hand car.
Thank you,
Norman
We'll put it on the "To do" list......
In re-working the handcar, how about revising it to run on a AA penlight cell? That could reazlly be fun--gj
Maybe you could find a gray one and paint it yellow!!
Hi again:
Possibly a contributing cause of the drive malfunction is excessive speed. Maybe a voltage regulator should be installed to limit the maximum voltage and speed of the hand car.
Here is a tin plate version of the Gandy Dancer, still runs !

Flattered.
I do make a drive for the trolley. I use the guts from a shay power truck stretch it out to the trolley wheelbase
mill the frame sides, add weights on the ends, power both axles (essential). Enjoy.
Interesting fact the Shay wheels and the trolley are virtually the same size.

re: Gandy dancer, I gave up on it years ago, I'll take another look.
Hi Barry,
I was not aware you made a trolley drive. Do you have pics, prices, dimentions or is a PM in order?
Gandy Dancer
Gandy,
Things are a bit hectic, I will get back to you.
