Title: What locamotive do I have?
Post by: jlbean on April 01, 2013, 03:51:52 PM
I have been going through a box of items that were left to me and I have a Williams Steam train with the numbers 175 on the side at the rear. Gray nose about 2" back and 3 large power wheels.  What engine is this, I have tried searching by this number but found nothing that looks like it.   ??? ??? ???

Thanks,

Are you able to post a photo of it?
You may have to go to photobucket.com and registar for a free account and post there to host the photo and then post from there to here.

There were many Williams engines made thru the years, but I would say it could be from the Crown Edition era. I am not the best at knowing everything made by Williams but there are others who may help too.
What kind of sounds does it have if you know?

Is the cab in the center of the boiler? The number sounds like it might be a camelback.

Sounds like you have a Williams brass built Pacific.  I was able to find a picture of it through ebay and a Google search.
