Title: Frog stalling
Post by: wally on August 25, 2007, 12:27:47 PM
I have some kato manual switches, and I am having trouble with a Bachmann Shay stalling on the switches. There are 2 ways you can set the switch, power and none power. It says to use non power routing for dcc, Powered routing can cause a short if the closed line of the rail touches the open line. If I tried the closed line would that help the stalling, or is there another way to stop the stalling with the Kato switch. Thanks foe any help. Wally

â€¢   Check the gauge of all wheels with a HO NMRA Mark IV Standards Gage.
•   Place each screw to select Frog Power ON and Non-Power Routing.
•   Check the wiring â€" you need power feeds on all rails before and after the turnout.
