Doc,

I had time to check and found all four to be working.  Some times if your bandwidth is low, loading will time out.  They are definitely there and I loaded them from the forum post just like you have to do, so keep trying possibly at times when internet traffic is lower in your area.

They still don't work for me.
I get a message saying the folder does not exist.
It doesn't time out. I get the message right away.

Doc,

I have added a second link to the message for parts 3 & 4.

Try it now and tell me if the first or second link for parts 3 & 4 are working.

Bill
The second link for part 4 works fine.
The second link for part 3 is the same as the second link for part 4. I get part 4 if I try the second link for part 3.
Neither of the first links work.

OK All,

I will reset all the links as they are somehow corrupted in ways I don't understand.   I will post the changes and let you know when to try again, so for now hold off.

OK All,

I have reset all the links.  If someone could try all four and let me know if they now work that would be great.

Thanks for checking them Tom,

Turns out the file addresses were some how corrupted.  Never figured out why, but glad they are working again!

They all worked for me.

Thank you Bill for doing this, these need to be made into a booklet, it's history after all.

Glad you all enjoyed it.

The Bachmann R/C sets definitely revolutionized Large Scale model railroading in 1988 because up until then, no manufacturer in large (G) scale was making any American Style locomotives and rolling stock.  Bachmann's bold move and the incredible success it brought did more to popularize the scale in the US than any other action by any other manufacturer.  Now many years later the 4-6-0 lives on with many evolutionary.  We started with the R/C 4-6-0, then the electric version, after that it was the Bachmann Plus version, in 2000 we got the version 5 chassis in the standard line 4-6-0, and the highly decorated Anniversary 4-6-0 with the metal siderods, and a few years ago metal gearboxes as well.

I have enjoyed keeping up the history of Bachmann Large Scale.  Just when I think I have everything figured out, some new piece of information pops out.  Much of what I write about Bachmann Large scale could not have happened without the help and friendship of Wade Colyer.  Wade has the most complete collection of every standard line large scale product Bachmann ever manufactured.  He has a great eye for finding new facts about the scale, and has never failed to share his new finds with me.

Who would have thought the beautiful 4-6-0 would lead to the amazing Spectrum products we enjoy today!!

Thanks! The Franks Nursery Set is indeed a rare set.   The Frank's gondola in the set is anyway!!   That gondola is one of the rarest Bachmann freight cars ever made.  Enjoy it and have fun!!
