Title: Denver & Rio Grande engineer and tender figures
Post by: tdrake on December 09, 2013, 08:24:39 AM
I just bought a G Scale Denver & Rio Grande 4-6-0 locomotive.  It came with an engineer in the sitting position and a standing tender car worker with a shovel.  I can find no way to use these with the engine and tender. Any ideas or are these just for looks and not something you try to put on the operating system.

most folks place the fireman on the tender deck with a removable type of glue like hot melt  glue.  The engineer is a little tougher. There are two cab styles for the 4-6-0 The engineer figure can go in one I don't remember which.  I have used a knife to cut off the left leg to get him in the loco.  like in the pics below.

And:

The engineer figure will fit into some other Bachmann locos without modification.

Have fun, Bill
