Title: Heisler Smoke Generator
Post by: wslogger on September 21, 2007, 01:28:35 PM
Does anyone know the voltage rating of the smoke generator unit in the Heislers?  I am installing an Airwire R/C and want to run the smoke generator off the outputs on the decoder. I am installing 14.4 volt battery power and removing the factory PC board but I am not sure if the  smoke unit will handle 14.4 volts directly from the batteries.

If I recall, it's a 12V regulator on the board.
That said, don't bother.
Put in one that works.

I agree, just replace it, I replaced mine with an Aristo blower unit that puts out  plenty of smoke.
A little tight of a fit and needs a offset tube for the chimney but was well worth the trouble
