Title: Williams Station Sounds
Post by: phillyreading on March 05, 2014, 10:55:40 AM
I saw an item on ebay saying it has Station Sounds in the passenger car. However I read something on the forum here and a comment was made by 3rd rail, going back to 3-6-2012, and I doubt that this set has rail sounds in the diner car. The set is a set of 6 Madison passenger cars for Norfolk & Western with Powhatan Arrow design on the cars. I don't want to bid if there is no Station Sounds.

I have a set of  six O-27 sized streamlined cars which say inside Station Sound Ready.

I was told it was never made at least for these cars.

We were developing a board for passenger cars and pre-wired the baggage car with a socket.  There was a label on the bottom of the cars identifying them. We cancelled the project before announcing it and the passenger cars were already produced.

However, there were cars made in the 1990's that did have a board installed. Check with the seller to make sure before you bid.

The cars I have are the O-27 streamlined style by Williams before Bachmann.
The markings are on the inside of several of the six cars.
There are no connections of any type, only the statement as mentioned.

3rail,
Thank you for the clarification.
I will stay with what I know has been made for sure, like the Crown Edition items.
