Title: 1:29 Peter Witt Trolley
Post by: Chris PRR on April 12, 2014, 05:30:15 PM
I just picked up the Chicago Surface Lines version of the Peter Witt trolley. What a great model, the details are very nice, paint is perfect. I'm very happy with it and I'm looking forward to getting a few more.

I would like to see more paint schemes or undec cars that you can paint up. chicago south shore south bend, TMER&L, north shore, Iowa traction, sacramento northern and more.

I agree with those above. The Witt is a real winner. I hope Bachmann produces more 1:29 traction in the future. A snow sweeper would be fun......

I have been building a South Shore steel interurban car. Based off SS cars 24, 25 and 107 currently at east troy. here's the problem. 80 feet in 1:32 scale is a little over 3 feet.

80 feet in 1:32 scale is actually 30 inches. That is 6 inches LESS than 3 feet.

80 feet in 1:29 scale is 33.1 inches.

well it stills gets the size across. Now I just have to refine my measurements on the windows.
