Title: Williams club
Post by: r0gruth on April 16, 2014, 07:56:18 PM
Time for my every so often question.

Will there be a Williams Platinum Club offering this year?

If there will be when will we hear about it?

I'm very pleased to see this and the method of selecting a car like the old days.Love ie.

Where do I find an enrollment form to sign up?
I prefer to pay by check.

IMHO the new [old] method of picking a club car is much better. You get a car of your choice that may fit your railroad better.
I mailed [USPS] mypayment on 5/1/2014 and received the car I listed as first choice on 5/9/2014.That is good service.

Thank you.

If I haven't made myself clear,I am very pleased with the quality of WbB products.

I have been a bit concerned with the dropping of many models from the catalog.
I hope they are replaced with models that will be as enduring.
Maybe some of the deleted models will reappear.

I do understand that deleted models are still available from dealers.

For my own self,I do not have much interest in loco sounds.
Whistles, horns and bells is all I really like.
The lack of some form of advanced train control is a good thing for me.
If WbB would develope something similar to what Lionel did in the !990s
and early 2000s when they offered locos with, without or TMCC ready may
appeal to some of us.

I like this option as well. People can choose the car they want and more may sign up.
However I have been ordering the club cars occasionally and have seen a $10.00 price increase since I first started ordering the club cars.

I would like to see a Plasticville diesel engine like a GP-38 or SD-45 for use with the Plasticville club cars. Or even better a Plasticville starter set with a diesel engine and a few Plasticville cars and a caboose.
