Title: Will A 44T truck fit an NW2 frame?
Post by: prrhorseshoecurve on October 10, 2014, 09:59:58 AM
I have a WBB 44 tonner. I also have a custom sw1 that will fit a WBB Nw2 frame. unfortunately, I need trucks. Will the WBB 44 tonner trucks fit the Nw2 frame? I tried taking it apart and having difficulty fittingthe truck to the Nw2 frame. Is as if the trucks need to be reversed to fit and the coupler mount on the truck needs to be cut off. What am I missing here? ???

I would say to look around at some train shows and try to find a used NW2 and take the trucks from that one. The casting is probably different on an NW2 then a 44 tonner.
Some of the Williams truck assemblies can be interchanged but not all.

The prices of new motor kits from WBB is very high this year, around $200.00.
That is why I suggest buying a used NW2 engine and taking it's truck assemblies.
