Title: Lynn 2-4-2
Post by: ironrailsbud on October 10, 2014, 11:51:40 AM
 :)
Hello...couple questions on my new Lynn 2-4-2.
1. Smoke unit only works when backing up. Why is this ?
2. The loco runs better on Aristo PWC than it does on linear. When running on linear it sometimes has a jerking motion, but on PWC it runs smoother than slicing butter.  Anyone know why.
I very happy with this loco except for these two things.
Thanks, Bud

This, may be a new problem.  A lot of us look at the post and say to ourselves, "can't help with that one".

Sometimes it takes a while for someone familiar with your problem to see it.

Unfortunately, manufacturers aren't always aware of problems until they are brought to their attention.

Thanks Chuck. I just figured it might a known problem that others may have run into. But with my luck it will turn out to be peculiar just to me .
I did have a similar problem with another makers locomotive(the jerking problem) and it turned out the wires from the motor to the locomotive were not pushed in firmly into their socket.
I'm the kinda guy that likes to run my locomotives right out of the box. The only thing I did on the Lynn was grease the gears as recommended.
But...if anyone has had a like experience with their Lynn as outlined in my first post I sure would like to hear from them.
Have a good one.
Bud
