Title: Wiring extensions
Post by: JCL on November 26, 2014, 05:25:02 PM
I have switch and power 10 ft extensions that are 5-7 feet longer than I need. Do I need to cut and splice, or can I just push the extra under the table?

Custom cut all wiring to suit and run it under whatever you are supporting your track on.  Be that a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood, or open grid, or girder.

Hi JCL,

Consider the longer the wire, the more resistance it places on the circuit.
The extra wire is not beneficial.

A couple of extra inches 2 - 3 is OK.
Several extra feet... not so much.

Good luck
