Title: Dynamis DCC Controller
Post by: Fxguy1 on January 08, 2015, 01:13:58 PM
I just purchased a Dynamis DCC Controller in the scratch and dent section of the local hobby store. Does anyone know if this will work with a non-DCC locomotive?

Thanks for the link! So is there a way to add a decoder to the Walters train line locomotive I got? It's 931-103 HO EMD GP9M RTR ATSF BLUE.

Yes, the Walthers GP9m locos are very easy to add decoders to. They are not 'DCC Ready', so some soldering is involved to hardware decoder. But there's plenty of space under the weight to tape a decoder in place to.

'How To' instructions here: http://www.tcsdcc.com/Customer_Content/Installation_Pictures/HO_Scale/Walthers/Trainline%20GP9M/Trainline_GP9M.htm (http://www.tcsdcc.com/Customer_Content/Installation_Pictures/HO_Scale/Walthers/Trainline%20GP9M/Trainline_GP9M.htm)

Shows using a TCS T1 decoder, but the steps are the same using a Bachmann, Digitraxx, etc. decoder.
