Title: G Gauge coal car
Post by: dzldan on January 21, 2015, 04:45:24 PM
Anyone know when the light on the coal cars comes on. Does it have to have the 9 volt battery installed to light it up.

The tender light runs is powered by the track pick ups.

Recently there was a thread with a similar question.  The answer was that it is a dummy light on the tender.  Some engines have an operating light and others have a dummy.  Look for a light bulb in the lamp or wires leading to the lamp housing.

PS it would help if you gave us the model number and a description.  A specific answer might then be forthcoming.

Here is a link to,the thread.

The link doesn't appear to work, for me.  There should be enough information to locate it through your browser.  It is in the large scale forum.
