Title: Need help with an old Wiliams No 4700

I have an No 4700 F7 Western Pacific AA that will not reverse.  I am looking for instruction manuals for this unit, and would like to know why it won't reverse.

Does the headlight go out completely when you are trying to reverse it?

What transformer are you using? If the power won't go all the way off you can add in a momentary off switch in series with the hot wire and use it to change directions.
Also look at your engine and see what kind of electronics are inside it. Does it have a circuit board?
