Title: Newbie Troubleshooting
Post by: Pzinkii on November 26, 2015, 03:49:29 PM
I have a large scale bachmann that I need some advice for. The the engine spins and wheels turn until the front wheels make contact with the track. As soon as they touch, the engine stops turning. Any ideas what to do? Thx!!

You don't say what engine you have but the 4-6-0 is prone to having the front truck turned 180 degrees. Since that truck has power pickups, it causes a short.

Try turning the front truck around, being careful to not break or stress the wires going to it. That should 'fix' your problem.

JerryB.
It sounds like you have the solution. This has always been a problem, not just withe Bachmann, but some others.
