Title: A Tale of Two Annies
Post by: Don Gilham on December 03, 2015, 10:39:48 AM
A superb, affordable model with metal gears, makes this a sought after loco on the Broome Lake & Eastern.  One has the body of a short C19 tender on the original tender chassis, the other is mated to the Consolidation tender (surplus because of the Conso gear problems)

The Connie tender on the Annie looks great, as does the short C-19 tender. Definitely a great way to liven up the good old Annie!!

Don,
Super job combining those model locos and tenders. Makes the loco look totally different and GREAT! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Guys :)  By the way Bill, I followed the info you gave me on deconstructing the Annie.  What a pig to get back together ;D

Great job Don!

I wish Bachmann would offer some new engines, maybe with an inclined steam chest for the Ten-Wheeler.

I agree Bob, that would be very nice (as long as it has metal gears  ;D ;D ;D ;D )

It would be nice if they re-introduced the saddle tank body for the 0-4-0.  I managed to get hold of one, and "modernised" it with an Aristocraft (?) slope=back tender, having seen at least one example of this being done.

Or another small loco for switching (or shunting, as we call it over here :) )
