Title: Curved track for the G Scales Casey Jones Cannonball Express
Post by: tuna57 on December 07, 2015, 05:10:13 PM
I was reading some old posts about the Casey Jones Cannonball Express G scale on your site.  I have one that is in mint condition except for the track.  I think I purchased it at Sams Club in about 2001 and I'm having trouble finding track for this.  I'd like to run it under my Christmas tree but don't have enough pieces.   Does anyone know a good source for track?  Thanks

Bachmann sells track. Is the track you have tubular rolled steel, or solid brass?  If you want to add to what you have, you need to know the style.  The two do not connect easily.  Bachmann sells both types.  There are many on line dealers out there also:  Charles Ro, Star Hobbies, Trainworld, and many others.

Try a GOOGLE. For G gauge track.

Hi Tuna47,

Your set was a limited run set made exclusively for Sam's Club in 2001.

The track that came with the set is called steel alloy track.  You might try checking the bottom of the foam box as in some cases the track was packed there hidden underneath.

If your track is silver colored then it is steel alloy track. The link below is to the online store and the steel alloy track like what you have with the set:

You might also try Robbie at rldhobbies.com as he can provide a great discount price and provide personal advice to be sure you get the right thing.

Good like finding the track you need and have fun with your rediscovered set.

Thanks so much for your quick replies.  There was track on the bottom of the box, unfortunately we had a leak in our basement and the things under the styrofoam got wet and rusted before I realized it. This was a train I bought for my husband on our first Christmas together and since he passed away this year, I wanted to put it up in his memory.  Everything in the styrofoam is still as good as when it was new.  I'll try some of the places you suggested.  It is a silver metal, so thanks again and have a Merry Christmas.
